The Akwesasne Cultural Center houses a public library upstairs and a museum downstairs. The museum is best known for its spectacular Mohawk black ash and sweetgrass basketry collection. The exhibits cover history and culture in a visually appealing and interesting way. The museum shop offers a wide selection of basketry, beadwork, and other items.
