An official Path Through History Site! The Amagansett U.S. Life-Saving and Coast Guard Station was inducted into the National Register of Historic Places in 2018 1. Guided tours of the station are provided by docents, volunteer guides who provide tours to adults and children visiting. 2. A full listing of provided services for the station include that it is ADA compliant, wheelchair accessible, has inclusive recreation, an inclusive recreation website, parking, restrooms a gift shop, exhibits, descriptive signage, brochures/pamphlets/maps, educational programs, guided tours and self guided tours. 3. The station supports its ongoing preservation through holding exhibitions, collections, and educational missions. 4. Various special events take place each year during open season; Montauk School field trips, Maritime Heritage Day, The Commemoration of the Nazi Saboteur Interception, Libero Canto Concert, Annual Lobster Bake, Coast Guard Day. 5. Visitors may sign up through the life-saving station's website, to receive newsletters of upcoming information and events. 6. Signage outside the station indicates it is 'a coast guard beach U.S. Life-Saving Station built in 1902. In 1942 Guardsman John Cullen discovered four German Saboteurs on this beach'
