Cornell University

Details

Cornell University is a privately endowed research university and a partner of the State University of New York. Its distinctive blend of public and private colleges makes it the most educationally diverse university in the Ivy League. As New York state’s land-grant institution, Cornell serves communities throughout the state through programs such as Cornell AgriTech in Geneva and Cornell Cooperative Extension, which has programs in all 62 counties of New York and the five boroughs of New York City.

Cornell’s Ithaca campus is one of the most beautiful in the nation, with 745 acres centrally located among woodlands, gorges, and waterfalls. Cornell has been part of the fabric of Ithaca since its founding in 1865, contributing to the town’s vibrant culture, local economy, and community-engaged collaborations.
