An official Path Through History Site! Watch history come alive at Historic Richmond Town. New York City's living history village and museum complex includes NYC's oldest continuously operating farm and lets you experience colonial life firsthand. The main village portray many aspects of American life from the 1660s through today and occupies almost 50 acres featuring over 30 original historic structures, including homes and commercial and civic buildings, as well as a historical museum. The site was occupied by the British from 1776-1783. Prior to 1776 the Committee of Safety met at the Christopher House to keep order and support the Continental Army.
