The Lower East Side Jewish Conservancy offers customized private walking tours for groups of 1-100, and innovative public tours throughout the year that are open to anyone who wants to join. A list of public tours can be found at: https://www.nycjewishtours.org/public-tours-and-events, and vary each year.
The LESJC was created in 1998 with the goal of preserving the sacred Jewish sites of the Lower East Side, America's most famous immigrant neighborhood, and the cradle of Jewish culture in the US. We also visit other Jewish NY neighborhoods, such as Jewish Harlem. The Conservancy seeks to enhance public awareness of this unique cultural legacy by visiting high-profile and off-the-beaten-path historic synagogues. Private group tours are available by appointment, and run approximately two-and-a-half hours. We aim to educate and inspire people of all ages and faiths from around the world. Join our deeply knowledgeable guides and explore where the American Dream began.
