Sitting on more than 9,000 acres of land, the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge is home to a large variety of birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. Here they can find rest, food, and a place to nest. While at the refuge, visitors can hike on designated trails. This is an especially promising location for wildlife photography. Wildlife viewing varies seasonally. Open from mid-March to early December, the refuge has a visitor center where guests can learn all about the wildlife inhabiting the land. Check out the observation deck, tower, and The Lodge Nature Store.
