Page 73 Productions provides leadership in the American theater by developing and producing the work of promising early-career playwrights who have not yet had a professional production in New York City, a crucial step for career and artistic advancement. Our goal is to move our writers’ work toward production, either through Page 73’s presentation of their premieres or by connecting them to opportunities at our colleague theaters. Page 73’s programs offer playwrights concrete artistic development and production resources that assist them in readying their plays for production, as well as financial assistance, career guidance, networking and exposure. There are few, if any, American theater organizations providing full-scale productions as well as comprehensive development programs exclusively to unproduced playwrights. Page 73’s programs create a home for developing writers that responds to their individual needs while enriching the American theater with powerful new works.
