Pan Asian Repertory Theatre

Pan Asian was founded in 1977 to provide opportunities for Asian American actors; to create new works which dispel stereotypes; & to expand the artistic horizon with innovative re-workings of Western plays & Asian epics. As the most veteran Asian American company east of the Rockies, Pan Asian is a respected pioneer in the Asian American and theatre communities that has garnered recognition for its advocacy, service and excellence- most recently in 2013, the company received a Commendation from Comptroller John C. Liu. Now celebrating its 37th Season, in tandem with Capacity Building initiatives and transition to a new theatre venue, the 14/15 Season highlights bridge building projects that embrace the next generation and challenge Pan Asian's artists: FILM CHINOIS; an adaptation from the classic Chinese novel, A DREAM OF RED PAVILIONS; and a workshop presentation of the popular musical, SAYONARA.
