Playland Park

FEATURED
Details

An official Path Through History Site! Playland’s famed “Dragon” roller coaster has towered over this Art Deco landmark since its 1928 opening, and the heart-stopping dive from the top still thrills visitors. It’s just one of many classic amusement park treasures at this National Historic Landmark, including the “Derby Racer” —there are only two originals left in the US— with "steeds" that "gallop" a challenging steeped turntable at 15 miles per hour. Take the plunge on the water-soaked log flume, treat the little ones to the largest Kiddyland in the area, glide around the indoor ice rink, or take a break at the lakeside picnic area and sandy beach.
