The only lighthouse on Lake Champlain to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. On November 16, 2004, the lighthouse celebrated another milestone in its restoration as the light was transferred back to the lantern room from the nearby skeletal tower. see small static displays interpreting the Lighthouse and the surrounding area, the Fresnel lens, the Iron Tower, the Architecture, the Lighthouse Keeper's family life, geology and ecology of the island, and the history of the island. Visitors needing transportation to the island should contact the Champlain Valley Transportation Museum. The museum provides transportation to Valcour Island and Crab Island aboard the replica Sail Ferry "Weatherwax".
