Langston Hughes Community Library and Cultural Center

The Langston Hughes Community Library and Cultural Center was founded in 1969 to serve the Corona/East Elmhurst area's predominantly African-American population. The center's cultural programs range from theatrical presentations to music concerts, from literary readings to exhibitions. The Library houses a large circulating Black Heritage collection and is the home of Queens County's Black Heritage Reference Center, serving readers and scholars alike. Exhibits and special events.
