Mecox Beach is a popular spot for families spending a day at the beach with their children. It is geared towards those looking to get away from the business of everyday life and simply relax. Bathrooms and showers are available to visitors in the parking lots where they will also find a mobile concession stand and ice cream truck. Visitors are encouraged to make use of the volleyball nets and to take advantages of the beaches fine waves with surfing and bodyboarding permitted outside of the designated swimming areas. Fishing is also permitted outside of the swim area. Many visitors bike to Mecox Beach to avoid paying parking fees; a bike rack is available at the beach. 250 feet Ocean Beach, nonresident fee.
