Mexico Museum

Details

The Mexico Historical Society Museum features changing exhibits, local artists' work, albums, maps, and materials detailing Mexico's past. The museum was originally a mid-19th century law office. The Mexico Historical Society is a group of people from all walks of life, who are interested in learning about, documenting, preserving and making available to the public, information, and artifacts that illuminate and honor the people, events and way of life of the area’s past. The society actively solicits, collects, archives, and maintains materials of local historical significance. The Historical Society is dedicated to public service. It holds monthly meetings throughout the summer months in which free programs of local historic interest are presented to society members and the community at large. The society has sponsored and authored a variety of publications germane to Mexico’s history. It maintains records available to individuals and groups for research. The Society provides scheduled as well as flexible museum operating hours and conducts numerous educational tours for students throughout the year.
