Temporary Distortion is an experimental theater company committed to the creation, production, and performance of new work for theater, installation, and media. The company stages unsettling, meditative performances in claustrophobic, boxlike structures. The performances feature minimal physical movement and a uniquely restrained acting style. In the work, projected video is often juxtaposed with live performance to create sensual and dreamlike double worlds. These four-dimensional theatrical installations bridge the gap between cinema, performance, installation, and visual art.
