Village of Cuba

Visit Cuba year-round for a taste of the country life. From the Garlic Festival to the Cuba Cheese Museum, there is something for the whole family. Home to a beautiful man-made lake, plenty of water fun is available. The downtown area hosts unique shops and several restaurants. Cheese production played a vital role in the development of Cuba. Once known as the capital of cheese, the Cuba Cheese Museum takes the visitor through the process and tools used in the making of Cuba Cheese. The Cuba Cheese Shoppe attracts thousands of visitors, many arriving in tour buses. The Genesee Park has an interactive display honoring those with a Cuba connection who have served in the military, from the Revolution to present day. The Liberty Flag displays the highest-flying flag in the Eastern US. Three parks are maintained by the Village, providing playground, picnic, and outdoor recreation opportunities. Architecture offers notable charm to Cuba as the Main Street and South Street Historic Districts have been maintained with beautiful homes and stores. Cuba is recognized as a Tree City by the National Arbor Day Foundation. The Genesee Valley Greenway Trail winds through lush, wooded acres, offering up close glimpses of wildlife. Constructed of crushed millings, the trail is easily traveled by foot, bike, or snowmobile. It is maintained by both the Village and the NYS Parks Department.
