COMMITTED TO LIVE PERFORMANCE!

The Oneonta Concert Association was delighted to be back to live performances for live audiences in our 2022-2023 season, welcoming Pegasus: The Orchestra, whose initially postponed concert we were fortunately able to reschedule as Season 94’s hit opener, followed by outstanding performances by Sten & Maria Z Ensemble with versatile percussionist Brian Melick and Spanish & flamenco dancer La Nina;  by Arjun Verma on traditional improvisatory sitar with Naren Budhakar on tabla;  by Julie Licata & Friends, featuring an assortment of percussion instruments, solo and “in conversation” with flute and piano;  and concluding with striking beauty by Catalyst Quartet as season finale.

Several programs of educational outreach were an additional treat for various audiences and age groups; and individual Young Artists continue to grace the start of each concert with a 10-minute opening performance.

Season 95 began in September 2023, and continues through April 2024:  See the 5-concert lineup on the slider, above.  All concerts this season are on Fridays at 7:30 p.m.  Season subscribers save substantially over the single-concert ticket price, and new subscribers enjoy an even further discount.  We also offer a special Pick-Three option.  See the Subscriptions page for details, with information on several ways to subscribe, including by PayPal from that page, or by the linked subscription form, which can be downloaded or printed directly from this website and mailed in.  For tickets to individual concerts, see the Single Tickets page.

OCA is pleased to bring live performances of exceptional music and dance to our audiences, who enjoy the direct presence of the artistry and the sense of community that live performance creates.  Our annual series of performances is made possible by an an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for new members to join the Board of Directors and help make these events happen.  If you’re interested, email us at oneonta_concert_association@yahoo.com.

We are grateful for the support and kindness shown by our audiences, volunteers, and sponsors throughout these many years, and we look forward to seeing you all at the performances!

The Oneonta Concert Association (OCA), founded in 1928, is the area’s oldest cultural organization. Our mission is to present diverse, audience-engaging, world-class cultural offerings of live music and dance at an affordable price to the Western Catskills region. Over the decades we’ve presented some amazing performers, including: Grammy winners Ron Carter and Mark O’Connor; the Vienna Boys Choir; Count Basie Orchestra; Scotland’s Battlefield Band; the Trapp Family Singers; Cantus; Manhattan Brass; Boston Chamber Music Society; Alvin Ailey dance; the National Ballet of Senegal; and other artists celebrated the world over.

OCA programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Governor and Legislature of New York State.  OCA is also supported by the Dewar Foundation, Eggleston Foundation, and other foundations.  Visit NYSCA at www.nysca.org
