Old Erie Canal State Historic Park

Welcome to the Old Erie Canal State Historic Park at Chittenango Landing!

We are a privately-funded site on both the State and National Register of Historic Places. Located on the Enlarged Erie Canal, our site is a unique nineteenth-century dry dock complex that can be the backdrop for you journey through history. Experience what life was like working and living along the Erie Canal in the nineteenth-century. Visitors can see the three bays (deep, middle, and shallow), the reconstructed general store, blacksmith, boat shop, mule stable and Visitors Center. We offer recreational activities as well as history, educational. folk arts and STEAM programming.
