About Us
Located in the already historically rich area that is the Hudson Valley, the Central House has seen many eras and characters. The structure was established in 1876 and since then has been a focal point of Germantown. The space has served as a brothel, a speakeasy, a stage coach house, and various restaurants. At one point it was owned and managed by the Rockefeller family in the early twentieth century. Click here to see the past in photos.
Acquired in 2006 by the Lueck family, the Central House officially reopened as a hotel inn in the summer of 2011 after having been dedicatedly restored from an abandoned warehouse to it’s original beauty. Complete with your stay is a continental breakfast served before 11am, twenty-four hour complimentary parking, and a dedicated staff to make your stay as comfortable as possible while helping you explore the Hudson Valley.
Please inquire for information regarding canoeing, tubing and kayaking on the hudson river, a day of golf at Waterway Hills, numerous nearby state parks, horseback riding, Hiking in and around Kaaterskill Falls and Tivoli Bays, events at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodome, the historical Clermont Home and beyond!

Central House boasts six beautiful, well-appointed rooms each with luxurious Vera Wang Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses, wireless internet service, flat Screen TVs and private baths.
Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of our inn, our rooms are not accessible to people with reduced mobility. The guest rooms are accessible only by a staircase.

Room Policy
For reservations, a credit card number will be taken to hold the room and one night will be charged upon check in. For a hold on all rooms and a full booking of the inn, a $500 deposit will be due within one week of booking. Each room will be booked individually with a credit card number to hold the reservation. Upon booking the reservation, one night will be charged to guarantee the room reservation. If a room is released as part of a room block, you must release the reservation one month prior to stay. If the room is not able to be re-booked, the cost of the room will be deducted from the deposit. All rooms are non-smoking. Roll-away beds are available for an additional $25 per night.
