Bridging Continents: Exploring South Asian Art

Join us on April 27 for Bridging Continents: Exploring South Asian Art, offered in partnership with the Dogra Art Foundation. Dr. Madhuvanti Ghose (the Art Institute of Chicago) will deliver the lecture “In Service to Krishna: The Artists of the Temple Town of Nathdwara, Rajasthan.” This talk introduces the art of the Pushtimarg and celebrates the artists who are keeping the tradition alive today through their organization, Artists of Nathdwara (AoN).

Artists from across the United States are invited to apply for spaces to showcase their work at the M&T Bank Clothesline Art Festival. This juried art festival is one of Rochester’s largest art festivals for more than sixty years, drawing thousands of shoppers from Rochester and surrounding markets.
