(2 Days)

DAY 1 - Geneva and Seneca Lake

Begin your journey at Rose Hill Mansion, overlooking Seneca Lake just south of Geneva on Rte 96A. Here you'll get a glimpse of life in the mansion of an early farm. View spectacular fall foliage framing the deep blue lake and sky, and sip some wine at Billsboro Winery's onsite tasting room too.

Head north on Rte 14 and enjoy several hours of shopping at 100 stores at Waterloo Premium Outlets on Rte 318. Then it's back to Geneva for a meal at Edgar's or the Stonecutters, two excellent lake-view dining choices at the elegant Belhurst. While you are there, you could linger a while and stop by the winery, book a soothing treatment at Isabella Spa-Salon or even stay overnight at one of their three distinctive hotels.

DAY 2 - Geneva to Canandaigua and Canandaigua Lake

Just down Routes 5&20 is Red Jacket Orchards. Stop at the store for cider pressed from apples just picked from the surrounding orchards as well as fresh produce, cheeses and more.

Continue west along Rtes 5 and 20 to Canandaigua and stop at the Naked Dove Brewing Company for a tasting of some great beers made right in the Finger Lakes! Not far away, you'll find dozens of horse-drawn vehicles on display, at the Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum.

Round out your day of driving in a wonderland of red, orange, yellow and gold foliage with a paddlewheel boat cruise on the Canandaigua Lady through October, or enjoy fine lakeside dining (and accommodations) at the Inn on the Lake (585/394-7800).
