Tupper Lake, N.Y. – The Wild Center will be awarded “Excellence in Design” for its “Climate Solutions” exhibition by the Museum Association of New York (MANY) at the 2023 annual conference in April. The Wild Center is also extending a “thank you” to fans who voted in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for “Best Science Museum,” which The Wild Center came in second place.

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced plans for an I LOVE NY Black travel initiative, designed to grow New York State tourism and encourage Black traveler visitation. The Governor made the announcement at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater as part of the state's commemoration of Black History Month. The program will build on the success of the state's tourism programs like I LOVE NY LGBTQ and Accessible NY which highlight destinations of interest to and supportive of specific travel communities.

Governor Kathy Hochul today kicked off the State's 10-year anniversary celebrations for Taste NY, New York's official 'eat local, drink local' program, at a special open house at the Finger Lakes Welcome Center in Geneva. The event showcased the diversity and uniqueness of New York State's farmers and food and beverage producers, as well as regional tourism destinations. Today's celebration marked the first in a series of events that are planned across the state in recognition of the 2023 10-year milestone and the program's success, which has brought over $100 million in economic impact to New York State producers.

George Eastman Museum logoPasses for the seventh Festival of Film Conservation currently on sale

Rochester, N.Y., February 16, 2023—The George Eastman Museum will present the seventh edition of the Nitrate Picture Show in late spring. The world’s only festival entirely dedicated to nitrate film will be held June 1-4, 2023 at the Dryden Theatre, the George Eastman Museum’s historic venue for film exhibition in Rochester, N.Y.
