Swedish Hill WineryRomulus, N.Y.   -  In 1986 Dick and Cindy Peterson released five wines under their new winery, Swedish Hill. That year they produced 1200 cases of wine for their single tasting room. Today their son, Dave, along with his wife Jean and their daughter Amanda Fitzgerald, manage the production of over 60,000 cases annually for three wineries and six tasting rooms.

Clinton, Essex, Franklin Counties, N.Y. - Tours from sap to syrup, tree to table, by tractor and horse-drawn wagon ride or on foot: maple sugarhouses in Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties are ready to welcome visitors from 10 am to 4 pm on the March 19-20 and April 2-3 NYS Maple Weekends. Muppets, Fraggles, and Beyond: The Jim Henson Collection Display Opens April 8

Rochester, N.Y. - The family of legendary puppeteer and television icon Jim Henson have donated to The Strong in Rochester, New York, more than 540 licensed products and 60 books that chronicle Henson's more than 30-year career. The donation-coordinated by Bonnie Erickson, executive director of The Jim Henson Legacy, and Karen Falk, archives director for The Jim Henson Company-includes playthings and other items related to Henson's numerous television and movie productions such as Sesame Street, Dinosaurs, Fraggle Rock, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, and The Muppet Show. Many of the artifacts will be available for view in the Muppets, Fraggles, and Beyond: The Jim Henson Collection display opening at The Strong on April 8.

The George Eastman Museum celebrates 100 years of the National Park Service with major photography exhibition opening June 4

Rochester, N.Y., March 10, 2016-To celebrate the 100th
anniversary of the formation of the National Park Service, the George Eastman Museum presents Photography and America's National Parks, an exhibition exploring the role of photography in the development of the parks and in shaping our perception and understanding of these landscapes. The
exhibition will be on view from June 4 through October 2, 2016.
