If you have antiques or artisanal crafts to sell, there is still time to register for booth space at this not-to-be missed show and sale. Two tables are provided as part of the registration fee, with others available for rental; vendors can also bring their own.

Orange County, N.Y. (March 30, 2017) There are still few signs of spring's arrival outside, but inside the barns of Orange County's farms, there's a bounty of local fruits, vegetables and specialty products available. These indoor farmers markets offer hardy vegetables and fruits, as well as other specialty items like New York maple syrup, jams and jellies, cider and baked goods. Some Hudson Valley farms even host farm-to-table events.

Womens History Regional Tourism Council recognizes Women's History Month with historical ties and modern activities 

Pittsford, N.Y. - Women have had a powerful history in the Finger Lakes Region, making their mark in the area since 1848, when the first Women's Rights Convention was held in Seneca Falls. It is often known as the birthplace of the American Women's Rights Movement, as well as home to notable figures like Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Matilda Joslyn Gage.

 

Plattsburgh, N.Y.-The City of Plattsburgh, Lake Champlain Sea Grant and New York Sea Grant are hosting a Lake Champlain Maritime History Program from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at the Plattsburgh City Hall auditorium. Admission is free. 
 
A brief reception will be held from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm with the opportunity to tour the Great Shipwrecks of NY's ‘Great' Lakes exhibit spanning more than 200 years of maritime history across New York State waters in the second-floor atrium, adjacent to the auditorium.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today encouraged residents and visitors to explore New York's world class parks, snowmobile trails, ski resorts and outdoor attractions this weekend following the massive snowstorm that brought nearly 42 inches of snow to areas of Upstate New York. The Governor also announced three state-owned ski resorts - Belleayre Ski Resort, Gore Mountain and Whiteface Mountain - have joined the Multi Alpine Experience Pass program, bringing more skiers and snowboarders from across the United States and Canada to experience New York's ski areas.

April 21 - 23: Fort Ontario History and Archaeology Explores Centuries of Conflict

Oswego, N.Y.  - The Fort Ontario History and Archaeology Conference will be held at the Great Lakes Event and Conference Center at the Best Western Hotel in Oswego, NY, on April 21 through 23. 

Renown historians including several SUNY professors will speak at annual conference, which explores the history and archaeology of warfare and human conflict in the United States and Canada from its earliest evidence around 5,000 BCE to the 21st century War on Terrorism.

Niagara Falls, N.Y.  - There is even more reason to celebrate this March 17, as the City of Niagara Falls, NY is joining with the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), to mark its 125th Birthday at the annual St. Patrick's Day Party, held inside The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls (101 Old Falls Street, Niagara Falls, NY), from 5 to 11 p.m.  Advance sale tickets are $9 or $10 at the door.  Children under 12 receive free admission.  Proceeds benefit local charities, as directed by the AOH's Niagara County Chapter, Division 1.
