Ten year old Ashlyn Overland riding in front of the starting platform crowdCanandaigua, NY (April 28, 2016) -  Friday, April 29th, will mark the start of the second season for Roseland Wake Park, the only cable wake boarding park in the Northeast. "Guests visited from all over the Northeast and Canada last summer to take advantage of this unique watersports attraction", comments wake park manager, Kyle Dickman. Wake boarders from Maine have indicated that they will be visiting on opening weekend. Ten year old Ashlyn Overland, from Port Jervis, NY, a four hour one-way drive, plans to attend opening weekend as well. Ashlyn's parents brought her to the wake park almost every weekend last summer. They would spend two nights at local lodging during each visit.

 

Seneca Falls, N.Y. - Women's Rights National Historical Park, in partnership with the National Women's Hall of Fame, invites the public to attend a panel discussion titled, "Running the Rough Road to Equality: a True History of the Pioneer Days of Women's Running" on Friday, May 6th, at 1:30 pm in the park's Wesleyan Chapel. Featured panelists will be Katherine Switzer and Roger Robinson.

Set on 121 acres, the 24-building campus will offer daily programs, family festivals and activities, compelling new special exhibits to complement permanent exhibits, and fairs for aficionados of all things Adirondack. In 2015 New York City welcomed an estimated 17.5 million family visitors, a nearly two percent projected increase over 2014, and family travel to NYC is expected to continue to grow in 2016 to reach approximately 17.7 million family visitors. Since the launch of the Family Ambassador program in 2009, family visitation to New York City has grown by 32.6 percent and is currently 30 percent of total visitation to New York City.
