The testimonies allow visitors to enrich their understanding of the event and its continued impact.  Registry alumni will have the opportunity to receive information about special events and programs designed especially for them.

Six Flags Donates PonchosPonchos Provide a Protective Barrier for Health Care Workers and Patients

Darien Center, N.Y. (April 8, 2020) — Six Flags Darien Lake announced today that it donated 500 rain ponchos to NY State Veterans’ Home in Batavia. The facility’s skilled nursing staff will use the ponchos to protect themselves and patients as they continue to provide care to local veterans during the COVID-19 pandemic.

George Eastman Museum logoThe film festival will be held on June 3–6, 2021

Rochester, N.Y., April 8, 2020—The George Eastman Museum is postponing the 6th Nitrate Picture Show, originally scheduled for June 4–7, 2020, until June 3–6, 2021. Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the museum has decided not to present the film festival in this calendar year. More than 80 percent of current festival passholders would need to travel to Rochester from across the country or overseas, making their attendance inadvisable and nearly impossible in the current environment.

Last week, OCT asked local attractions and hotels to submit pictures for a video project. They requested images that showed them working from home, their kids and pets, or just doing a hobby they love.
