Schweinfurth Art Center Art ClassesAuburn, NY (April 11, 2023) – Artists of all ages can sign up for spring art classes at the Schweinfurth Art Center. The classes cover throwing clay, watercolor plein air painting, and more.

Students ages 5 to 10 can sign up for our last Art After School session for the 2022-23 school year. The class, called Beyond the Stars, will envision what life is like outside of planet Earth by creating 2- and 3-dimensional projects. Artists will also explore several mediums, including clay, drawing, painting, and collage work.

Slate Valley Museum Sip and PaintGranville, NY – The Slate Valley Museum will host its spring session of Sip & Paint on Slate on Friday, April 28 from 7-9pm.

This event is the second of six unique, stand-alone sessions that the museum will offer this year. Painters use a slate tile sourced directly from the Slate Valley as their canvas and create their own painted works with step-by-steps guidance and encouragement from art teacher Darcie Parrott. For this workshop, attendees will paint a colorful Rainbow Trout.

Brooklyn, NY – Molière in the Park, in partnership with Prospect Park Alliance and LeFrak Center at Lakeside, has announced the cast for the English language world premiere of Molière’s TARTUFFE OR THE HYPOCRITE, reconstructed by Georges Forestier, translated by Maya Slater, and directed by Molière in the Park’s Founding Artistic Director Lucie Tiberghien.

2023 PGA Championship PRRochester, N.Y. (April 11, 2023) — When champions of golf tee off at Oak Hill Country Club next month, a positive boost to the economy will showcase how the Greater Rochester, New York, region provides a prime destination for champions of business. An analysis led by Greater Rochester Enterprise (GRE) estimates the major championship will result in $190 million in economic activity and 1,233 jobs. The 105th PGA Championship returns to Oak Hill Country Club for its fourth time May 15-21, 2023.
