Detail Family Moving - Eastman MuseumThe first museum exhibition of Out My Window will include work from all of Albert Halaban’s series locations

Rochester, N.Y., May 30, 2018Gail Albert Halaban: Out My Window will be on view at the George Eastman Museum beginning July 7. The exhibition will include artist Gail Albert Halaban’s photographs from the earliest to the most recent phases of her project, which until now has been seen only as discrete bodies of work from New York and Paris. This show features images made in cities all over the world, including Buenos Aires, Istanbul, New York, Paris, Rome, Seoul, Utrecht, and Venice, and showcases what urban neighbors see when they look across the street.

It’s beautiful to view the gorge walls and see the many layers of exposed geological features, and there at the bottom is the river making its way north toward Lake Ontario.

The program provides families an opportunity to enjoy the nation's cultural heritage and learn more about their community, especially after a military move. National Racing Museum and Hall of FameSaratoga Springs, N.Y. — Legendary thoroughbred racing personality Tom Durkin, who called 25 editions of the Belmont Stakes from 1990 through 2014 for the New York Racing Association, will discuss several of his favorite calls of the iconic race during a special program at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame on Thursday, May 31 at 7 p.m. The program is open to the public and free to attend.
