Owego, N.Y. - The Tioga County Tourism Office is pleased to announce the 2014 Tioga Journeys Guided Tour schedule. Several new tours were added this year, including the "Ghastly Ghost Tour" of haunted places in downtown Owego; You Say Potato, I Say Potahto," a trip to the Richford Potato Festival; "A Journey Through Time," a visit to The Museum of the Earth in Ithaca, NY; "Terrible Tioga," a tour to lesser-known locations of horrific and intriguing happenings in Tioga County; and "Wine a Little, Hop a Little," a tasting tour of a local winery, malthouse and taproom.

Will use experience gained in New York schools to steer original work created by area teens.

Albany, N.Y. - Noted playwright and Albany native Noelle Gentile will lead Capital Repertory Theatre's faculty for Summer Theatre At theREP (STAR).

Now in its seventeenth year, STAR has provided hundreds of area teens with the opportunity to create new theatre pieces based on personal experience and in-depth research.

George Eastman House to begin film series on July 2

Rochester, N.Y. - The Dryden Theatre at George Eastman House announced today that it will be screening more than a dozen films as part of series in memory of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. The two-part series will run from July through October at the Dryden Theatre at 900 East Avenue in Rochester. Hoffman, a Rochester-area native, died on February 2, 2014. He will be remembered as one of the most talented, ambitious, and audacious actors of any generation.

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - The Board of Directors of Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) has announced that New York City Ballet's annual summer season at SPAC will return to two weeks in 2015. One of the world's foremost ballet companies, NYCB has had a residency at SPAC since the venue's opening season in 1966. Officials from both organizations expressed pride in the historic partnership and enthusiasm for a longer season.
