Highmount, NY – New York State’s Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) announces opening dates and times for summer attractions and activities at Belleayre Mountain in the Catskills.

Riverhead, NY – Alive on 25 [AO25], downtown Riverhead’s largest and most anticipated event, is marking its fifth anniversary of annually hosting four evenings of summer fun on Main Street. 

AO25 is a free walkable street festival featuring live music on multiple stages, local craft beverages, food trucks, street dining, vendors, local artisans, face painters, stilt walkers, jugglers and activities the whole family can enjoy. A move to Friday evenings is planned for 2022, kicking off July 1st with fireworks at 9PM. Three events will follow on July 15th, July 29th and August 12 (rain date August 19th).  All events run from 5-9:30pm.

Clayton, New York (June 20, 2022) – The Village of Clayton, along with the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, and in conjunction with The Ship Watcher/Seaway Ship Watchers Network, invites the public to participate in Theodore TOO’s Grand Arrival into Clayton on Monday, June 27. Theodore TOO is tentatively scheduled to dock at the Regional Dock at Frink Park on Monday, June 27 around 4 p.m. Arrival time is subject to change based on varying factors.

On Valcour Island each Sunday in July, with guided Tours of the Lighthouse

Plattsburgh, N.Y. – The Clinton County Historical Association announces that the public is invited to visit the historic Bluff Point Lighthouse on Valcour Island Sundays July 3, July 17, July 24 and July 31 from 1 pm to 3 pm.  Transportation to the lighthouse is the responsibility of the individual. On July 10, the lighthouse will be open from 9 am to 2:30 pm and transportation to the lighthouse will be available between 9 am and 1:30 pm.  The cost is $30 per person. ORDA to host a celebration of movement and its Olympic legacy on June 23 

Lake Placid, NY – The New York Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) will host a series of activities on Thursday, June 23, commemorating the birth of the modern Olympic Games and the establishment of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The day celebrates being active and living the Olympic values around the three pillars of Olympic Day, “move, learn and discover,” and is marked by hundreds of National Olympic Committees (NOCs) from around the world.

(June 21, 2022) – Pride Live, a social advocacy and community engagement organization for the LGBTQ+ community, today announced plans to open the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center (SNMVC). Set to be the first LGBTQ+ visitor center within the National Park Service (NPS), a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Interior, the center marks a landmark achievement and leap forward in American history.
