Taking place now through Labor Day, the program offers park guests free opportunities to learn about and engage with their natural environment through guided outdoor activities.

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the completion of a $75 million expansion project at The Strong National Museum of Play in the heart of downtown Rochester. More than a city-block long, The Strong features hands-on, dynamic, interactive exhibit spaces. The final piece of the project — a 90,000 square-foot addition to the Finger Lakes region's top tourist attraction features many other amenities including a new welcome atrium with interactive displays, colorful wayfinding, state-of-the-art, efficient check-in, security, and first aid service areas.

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the completion of a $47 million multi-year project at Hempstead Lake State Park on Long Island. The final work included two miles of new Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant stone dust and bridle trails, an observation deck, improvements to the park's Northern Ponds to mitigate flood risk and reduce pollution, and rehabilitation of the 150-year-old Hempstead Lake Dam. These vital infrastructure improvements will help transform the park's offerings to the public while also making it more climate-change resilient.

The one-day event is being hosted over two sessions at the Niagara Falls Convention Center (101 Old Falls St., Niagara Falls, NY 14303).  The first session takes place from 1 to 3 p.m. and the second session takes place from 5 to 7 p.m.  A limited number of presale VIP tickets are available for each session one hour before opening to the general public (at 12 noon and 4 p.m., respectively).
