Auburn, NY (June 27, 2023) – Pre-teens and teens can stay creative this summer by taking exciting afternoon Art Camp sessions at Schweinfurth Art Center in Auburn. A few spots are available in three camps for students aged 11 to 15.

A Deep Dive into Color meets 1 to 4 p.m. July 24-28, 2023. Teens will study color theory and the principles of design while using graphite pencil, charcoal, and pen and ink drawing techniques to superimpose, layer, and interact with various colorfully painted surfaces, including paper, canvas, and kiln-fired clay.

25-Minute Display Will Illuminate the Sky Above Long Island's Popular Oceanfront Park 

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the fireworks display at Jones Beach State Park will take place on Independence Day, July 4. The Jovia Financial Credit Union Fireworks Spectacular at Jones Beach will be a 25-minute dazzling display that will feature a variety of colors and sights illuminating the sky at Long Island's popular oceanfront park.

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the opening of the new High Line - Moynihan Connector, a stunning new elevated pathway for pedestrians in the heart of Manhattan, with The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Brookfield Properties and Friends of the High Line. The Connector knits together new public spaces and public transit surrounding Moynihan Train Hall with the High Line, allowing pedestrians an uninterrupted, accessible and safe path all the way from West Midtown to the West Village. It officially opens to the public tomorrow, June 22.

Golf course to host wedge and putter demo day on June 25

Lake Placid, N.Y. – The Whiteface Club Golf Course in Lake Placid is teaming up with Callaway Golf for a wedge and putter demo day and fitting on Sunday, June 25, from 10 AM to 1 PM. The event will be held at the course’s practice area and putting green.
