holiday-valleyEllicottville, NY (November 21, 2018) – Holiday Valley’s President and General Manager, Dennis Eshbaugh announced that the resort will open for its 61st season on Friday, November 23, 2018. According to Eshbaugh, “It's the most exciting time of the year, a day that we plan for starting on closing day of the season before. Our snowmakers and groomers have been hard at work prepping the slopes. We've made over 65 acre feet of snow so far, with more to come.” Eshbaugh credits the powerful and efficient HDK automated snowmaking system for producing this large amount of manmade snow in a short amount of time. Holiday Valley has the largest HKD automated snowmaking system in the Eastern US. Natural snowfall has been plentiful over the past week and a half, with more than 14 inches that created a beautiful snowy scene and blended with the manmade snow for an average base depth of 6 to 18 inches.

The $10 million Center is funded and supported through the Governor's Central NY Rising Initiative, the region's comprehensive strategy to revitalize communities and grow the economy.

NYSED Albany, N.Y. – The New York State Museum will open The Historic Woodstock Art Colony: The Arthur A. Anderson Collection on November 10. On display through December 31, 2019, the exhibition features over 100 artworks – including paintings, lithographs, sculpture and works on paper – from the major collection of artwork of the historic Woodstock Art Colony that collector Arthur A. Anderson donated to the State Museum in 2017. Indus-Holiday Inn ExpressVictor, N.Y. — Indus Hospitality Group has completed a $1.8 million renovation of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Victor. The six-month project concluded in July at the 104-room hotel, of which 13 are suites. Enhancements include an extended lobby and breakfast area as well new carpet, paint, and décor in guest corridors and guest rooms.

Award-winning, family-owned Indus Hospitality group owns and operates more than 50 hotels and restaurants in the region, including the Victor Microtel, also located on Main Street Fishers in Victor. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Victor was built in 2006 and acquired by Penfield-based Indus in 2016. The hotel is located just off Thruway Exit 45 and I-490 and is near to Eastview Mall, Hill Cumorah, and the Finger Lakes region, and is 15 minutes from downtown Rochester.
