Rochester Eclipse CollaborationRochester, N.Y. – Rohrbach Brewing, Three Heads Brewing, and Strangebird Brewing are proud to announce that they will be teaming up to create a trio of unique specialty beers to commemorate the once-in-a-lifetime total eclipse over Rochester, NY on April 8th, 2024. Each beer will represent one of three phases of a total eclipse: The Lighter Side, The Darker Side, and Totality. The beers will be released in unison on March 11th, 2024, and will be available in cans at local retailers, as well as on tap at local bars and restaurants.

Potsdam, N.Y.  (Feb. 22, 2024) - The Adirondack Fragrance & Flavor Farm (ADK Fragrance Farm) will host the Eclipse Fragrance Festival on April 5 to 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, culminating with the total eclipse viewing. Coinciding with the celestial celebration aimed at welcoming residents and visitors alike complete with local talent, vendors and activities, the fragrance experts will release a limited-edition eclipse collection featuring an invigorating blend of balsam, rose, and vanilla cultivated from the Adirondack region.

Elizabeth Cady Stanton Home (NPS)Seneca Falls, NY -- Women’s Rights National Historical Park will host a free viewing event for the total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 1p.m. to 4p.m. at the Elizabeth Cady Stanton House in Seneca Falls. When the last total solar eclipse passed over Seneca Falls, New York, in January of 1925, women had only had the legal right to vote for a little over four years. This time, it passes over the first national park dedicated to women’s rights.

Focus - Click - TotalityRochester, N.Y. (February 16, 2024)—The George Eastman Museum has announced that it will be open on Monday, April 8 in celebration of the 2024 total solar eclipse. Titled “Focus, Click, Totality!”, this special event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will showcase the historic gardens and grounds as a viewing area for this once-in-a-lifetime celestial event.

Adirondack Sky Center and ObservatorTupper Lake, NY (February 5, 2024) - Adirondack Sky Center and Observatory, the Adirondacks’ only public astronomy-based organization, is preparing for the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8 and will be hosting a series of community events from April 5 - 9. Activities will include guest lectures, a NASA livestream projected onto an an 18-foot digital viewing screen, indoor planetarium visits, the opportunity to work as a citizen scientist assisting with data collection, professional solar telescopes, eclipse glasses, commemorative merchandise, children and family activities, along with food, art and music. 

ROOST - Adirondacks USACommunity-based celebrations provide safe, exciting viewing experiences

Saranac Lake, NY (January 23, 2024 ) – The Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism (ROOST), Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK), and Adirondack Council are urging caution for those considering an Adirondack Park backcountry adventure to view the total solar eclipse this April.
