Rochester, N.Y. - Tickets are now on sale for the Sept. 4 BriteVibes Festival™ - a one-day event celebrating all things New York State: craft beer, food, musicians, artists and more. Created by the New York State Brewers Association in partnership with Brewery Ommegang, BriteVibes Festival™ will take place at Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, providing a central location for guests attending from across New York. Utica, N.Y. – In the late 1800s Central New York grew eighty percent of the hops in the United States.  A number of factors brought a swift end to things about 1920, but that once great industry is striving to make a comeback. The Oneida County History Center will host Madison County Historian Matthew Urtz, who will discuss the rise and fall of the historic hop industry, and Chad Meigs, founder of The Bineyard hop farm in Cazenovia, who will share his adventures in modern hop farming on April 14, at 6:30 PM.

Rochester, N.Y. - The New York State Brewers Association (NYSBA) is inviting craft beer enthusiasts to go behind the scenes with brewers and brewery owners of popular New York State breweries during their New York State Virtual Craft Beer Tasting Experience on Sat., Sept. 26, 2020. The interactive virtual event will bring the experience of visiting NYS breweries to enthusiasts living rooms, beer included! Four breweries will be highlighted over four 90-minute tasting sessions: Grimm Artisanal Ales, Sand City Brewing Co., Hudson Valley Brewery and Greenport Harbor Brewing Co.

Celebration of HopsMumford, August 18, 2020 – One of New York State’s original cash crops was the hop plant, evidenced today by Western New York’s thriving craft beer industry. This Labor Day, Genesee Country Village & Museum is celebrating all things hops during the Hop Harvest Festival on Monday, September 7. The Museum will take visitors through the history of beer and hops from the field, through fermentation, and into the glass.

Visitors can learn about brewing traditions at one of the only 19th-century working breweries in the U.S. and see the hops being harvested on site, then sit a spell in the Pavilion Garden, where beer will be sold in taste-sized portions so guests can enjoy several varieties, including GCV&M's signature Fat Ox Ale and Stocking Hill Ale, and a selection of craft beer from Flying Bison Brewing Co. Wine and cider will also be on offer.

NYS Brewers AssociationRochester, N.Y. - The official PEACE LOVE BEER & Music Festival schedule has just been announced and is available on the  Think NY Drink NY website. The three-day, virtual celebration of New York craft beer and the extended community of musicians is hosted by the New York State Brewers Association (NYSBA) on August 14-16, 2020 - the 51st anniversary weekend of the original Woodstock event. The official schedule includes 19 hours of programmed, live-streamed music taking place from breweries across the state to raise funds for the NYSBA. In addition, festival attendees will have access to virtual brewery tours, craft beer edutainment, industry folklore and special performances by Chris Trapper and five BMI recording artists - Kyshona Armstrong, Brian Sutherland, Crys Matthews, Alex Rohan and Jessica Jenks.

Wienery at Roc Brewing Co. A partnership between the F.L.X. Wienery and Roc Brewing Co. LLC., will bring a new culinary experience to the city, serving loaded Zweigle’s hots (white and red), gravy-smothered burgers, Korean-style street fries, vegan and vegetarian fare, boozy milkshakes, house-made soft serve, and more. Rochester, N.Y. - The New York State Brewers Association is putting the spotlight on New York State ingredients in their upcoming event, NYS Culinary & Craft Beer Pairing presented by BrüMate. Scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2020, the 90-minute virtual experience will walk participants through making a gourmet meal using 100% NYS grown ingredients and include a guided beer tasting that beautifully complements the savory flavors of the two-course meal for two.
