The Chocolate Expo, America’s largest and most unique chocolate event, will be returning for its annual appearance at Long Island’s Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, NY, on Sunday, March 5, 2017, from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

More than $13.1 Million in Sales in 2016 through Taste NY Stores, Concessions and Events   Record Sales Exceed Governor's Ambitious 2016 Goal   Governor Proposes Expansion of Taste NY in 2017-18 Budget to Further Strengthen State's Food and Beverage Industry and Promote Agritourism Statewide  

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced Taste NY sales nearly tripled in 2016, surpassing his goal of doubling sales of participating businesses in one year. Total gross sales of New York products from Taste NY stores, cafés, bars, concessions and events topped $13.1 million last year, achieving Taste NY's highest annual sales in the program's history. The significant growth reflects increasing consumer demand for local products, which in-turn supports New York's agricultural industry and food and beverage sectors.

The 2017 New York State Maple Weekends brochure for Jefferson, Lewis, Oneida and Oswego counties is now available online at www.mapleweekend.com with information on individual participating sugarhouses, pancake breakfasts, Sap Run, Maple Trail app, recipes, coloring pages, and more.   On March 18-19 and March 25-26, from 10 am to 4 pm, sixteen maple producers located across the four-county region will welcome families and visitors of all ages to their farms and forests to experience first-hand how real maple syrup and maple confections are made.

Swedish Hill Kicks Off 2017 Competitions with One Double Gold And Two Golds from California

Romulus, N.Y. - Swedish Hill Winery, located on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, is maintaining its position as a top award-winning winery with its recent addition of one double gold and two gold medals from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (SFCWC). The winery won a double gold medal for its 2015 Riesling and a gold medal for both its 2015 Blue Waters Pinot Grigio and Blanc de Blanc. In addition to the gold medals, they brought home five silver and two bronze medals.
