SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Nov. 1, 2017 – Just over a year since its highly anticipated opening, Marriott Syracuse Downtown has earned AAA’s prestigious Four Diamond rating. The distinction is shared by less than six percent of the nearly 28,000 AAA-approved properties nationwide. Managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, the luxury iconic hotel debuted in downtown Syracuse last year on Aug. 19, 2016, following a meticulous multiyear $76 million restoration of the landmark 1924 building, once home to Hotel Syracuse.

(July 14, 2017) Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the groundbreaking of a $33 million deluxe hotel on the shores of Chautauqua Lake. Hart Hotels Inc. and Krog Group will work in tandem to build the $33 million upscale hotel in the lake front community of Celoron. The project is one of the largest private-sector-fueled, tourism-based developments to take place in Chautauqua County.

“Chautauqua Lake is one of Western New York State’s greatest tourism assets and by building these high-quality accommodations, we are showcasing the region’s unique waterfront areas to attract even more visitors and revenue,” Governor Cuomo said.

Lake Placid, N.Y. - The latest issue of Travel + Leisure Magazine has included Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa in Lake Placid in its list of their 500 best hotels worldwide.

In a breakdown by state, the lakeshore resort overlooking Mirror Lake was seventh best in all of New York State. It graded ahead of such landmarks as the Mandarin Oriental in Manhattan, Peninsula New York, Ritz-Carlton Battery Park, Hotel Elysee Midtown East and the Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing.

Lake Placid, N.Y. - At a presentation Thursday afternoon (June 19), AAA Northway President and CEO James Phelps presented Ed and Lisa Weibrecht, owners of Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa, with the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for the 30th year in a row.

The time-honored property dates back to the 1920s. It is the second longest running AAA Four Diamond property in the entire state, behind just The Carlyle in Manhattan.
In addition, The View Restaurant, located inside the hotel, collected the Four Diamond achievement for the seventh straight year.
