Lake George, N.Y. - The Lake George Arts Project presents the exhibition Airwaves: by Adria Arch in the Courthouse Gallery from May 16th through June 14th.  Arch’s suspended sculptures and acrylic paintings reference traditionally “feminine” imagery with expansive curves, pastel colors, and floral lines.  The organic shapes and stereotypically decorative motifs are exaggerated to challenge expectations of femininity as they cast shadows, frame the colors of the walls, and sway in response to movement in the gallery. …

Lake Placid, N.Y. – When the Whiteface Club and Resort in Lake Placid opens for the season on May 9, it will do so with new leadership. Incoming CEO Tracey Brooks has come on board to replace retiring CEO Mark Sperling. The former head of the luxury property served in that capacity for over two decades. Sperling’s final day was April 30. The secession plan saw the two working together for over a year prior to Brooks assuming the helm on May 1.
