albany.jpgALBANY, N.Y. -- There are great performances and events -- guaranteed to make memories -- throughout Albany in April. At the Times Union Center, The Dead takes the stage with The Jefferson Grisman Project, Los Lobos and the Indigo Girls capturing audiences at The Egg. For the children, the classic tale of Cinderella is told through ballet at The Egg, while Disney Live! Winnie the Pooh plays The Palace.  And, there's a ton of School Break Fun at the Henry Hudson Planetarium. The 400th anniversary of explorer Henry Hudson's discovery of Albany is well underway with the Albany Symphony's special performance, Memories of Childhood. A wealth of special historic tours also are available with Historic Cherry Hill starting a series of scholarly talks. And, throughout the city and into the Hudson River go the Albany Aqua Ducks, starting their 6th season of historic tours. During this Quadricentennial celebration, some tours will feature a Henry Hudson re-enactor giving a first-hand account of "his" Albany. Coming in May, Albany celebrates its 61st Annual Tulip Festival and welcomes the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater as the company celebrates its 50th anniversary. Come June, the Times Union Center features the Walking with Dinosaurs Spectacular.
