Howes Cave, N.Y. - Howe Caverns 10th Annual Cavalcade of Cars has been rescheduled for 12 Noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, on the Howe Caverns Estate. The car show features more than 100 hot rods, classic cars, performance vehicles and trucks. The car show was originally scheduled for Father's Day, but was postponed because of the forecast for inclement weather. Admission to the car show is free, but guests are encouraged to bring a donation of a non-perishable, canned food item to benefit Schoharie County's food pantries. For each food item that is donated at the car show's registration tent, Howe Caverns will offer a coupon for $2 off admission for a Traditional Tour of the Caverns on the day of the show. The car show features music by disc jockey K-Man, a, a coloring contest and a model car show. Coffee and breakfast items will be available in the Howe Caverns Café from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., with an outdoor barbecue available beginning at 11 a.m. Cliff Haslun, president of the Schoharie Valley Performance Street Machines -- a local car club that organizes the show -- said trophies will be awarded to the top 30 entries. Additional trophies will be awarded for Best of Show, Best Original, Most Unique, Club Participation, People's Choice, President's Choice, Vice President's Choice, Howe Caverns Manager's Choice and the top three owner/builders under the age of 25. For those entering a car for the show, registration takes place from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon. There is a $10 registration fee.
