The North Country Quilt Guild biennial quilt show is in Clayton, NY, June 11-13, 2010, with more than 300 new and antique quilts on exhibit with silent auction, demonstrations and vendors.Clayton, N.Y. - Travelers who show their travel club card at the Recreation Park Arena in Clayton, NY, this weekend will receive one dollar off admission to the biennial North Country Quilt Guild Quilt Show plus a free quilting pattern. The show runs June 11-13, 2010 with 300-plus quilts made by the more than 100 members of the guild and some quilters from outside the area along with a few antique quilts owned by Guild members. The biennial show also includes a Quilt for a Cure silent auction of more than 50 small wall quilts to benefit breast cancer research. The North Country Quilt Guild's Care and Share Project will be highlighted at the show. Guild members make toiletry bags and quilts for the Victim's Assistance Center ((VAC) and Children's Home of Jefferson County. The event will also feature traditional and long-arm quilting demonstrations; fabric, sewing machine and notions vendors; and crafters 10am-6pm Friday and Saturday, 11am-4pm Sunday.
