The Capital/Saratoga Region is the place to be for great performances and more throughout July. Albany's Park Playhouse presents Annie Get Your Gun under the stars in historic Washington Park. The Mac Haydn Theatre features Chicago and Damn Yankees among its summer offerings. The New York City Ballet and the Lake George Opera are at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, along with special appearances by Chicago and the Doobie Brothers, Goo Goo Dolls, RUSH, Brad Paisley, Celtic Woman, Maroon 5 and Sting. Along the Hudson River, Albany's Alive at Five presents such great entertainers as the Gin Blossoms, Eddie Money and Gloria Gaynor. The Times Union Center hosts the American Idol 2010 Tour.  Proctors Theatre has Tim Conway and Alice Cooper on its main stage. At The Egg, performances include those by Steve Hackett & Renaissance, while the Palace Theatre welcomes Melissa Etheridge's Fearless Love Tour. There are fireworks over the Empire State Plaza on July 4th,   part of Price Chopper's Fabulous 4th.  And, there are fireworks following the Tri City Valley Cats home game on Independence Day.
