lake-george-logo-jpeg.jpg Lake George, N.Y. - Just as other travel destinations have brought attention to their intriguing doors and doorways, Warren County will introduce "Decks of the Lake George Area in New York's Adirondacks."  "No matter what the season, people enjoy the opportunity to be in the great outdoors. Many of our local dining establishments feature outdoor decks for outdoor dining and socializing. We think these are special spaces that deserve recognition," says Kate Johnson, Director Warren County Tourism. Warren County dining establishments are invited to send in photos of their decks, landings and overlooks where customers can relax and enjoy a bite to eat. The Tourism Department expects to feature images of the decks through a variety of promotions, including Facebook, a link to a photo gallery on the homepage of VisitLakeGeorge.com, and all accepted images will be featured on an E-blast sent to over 103,000 subscribers who have requested information on the area. The images may also be used on a poster. Dining establishments are asked to send an image or two of their deck that captures its unique construction, its great scenic surroundings, and mostly people just having a good time. Eligible photo subjects include decks, custom built landings and terraces which can seat guests (not sidewalk dining).   Interested restaurateurs should send in high resolution images, no smaller than 5 X 7, to Peter Girard at girardp@co.warren.ny.us
