This year CINY addresses the theme of "The Journey" through carefully curated events that from Feb. 8-14  will transport us from New York City to unexpected horizons. "We want the five senses to be continually surprised by the journey to discovery that we are planning to offer each day at this year's edition. Our guests will be free to indulge any chocolate mood they feel at any given moment of the day," said Migration of Senses and CINY's founder Virginie Delavaud. Building on a successful 2009 launch, CINY's new home is a large-scale event space in Chelsea where guests will spark lively discussions and enjoy tastings, pairings, and educational talks with renowned chocolatiers, chefs, mixologists, chemists, and food experts. Based in New York City, French-born Virginie Delavaud has ten years of experience in designing and presenting innovative programs. "I wanted to create access to a remarkable celebration of chocolate, food, love and good living," said Virginie Delavaud. "Chocolate & I, New York is a playground for adults and children who will enjoy a spontaneous journey through the artistic world of chocolate today from a cultural lens and personal sensory experience. We are witnessing cacao alchemists and chocolate experts uniting worldwide to provide what can be described as a new generation of what we call ‘good chocolate'." On Saturday, February 13, CINY presents an afternoon of activities for kids and an evening of pre-Valentine's Day festivities for singles. A very special St. Valentine's Day program will be held on Sunday, February 14.
