Clear Channel Slope Spies Promotion On Saturday, January 8 the people from ClearChannel will be here for another installment of Slope Spies. Register at the Clear Channel tent outside Overlook Lodge and get a Slope Spies sticker to attach to you. If a Slope Spies staff member spots you on the hill they will send you to the registration tent for a prize. Don't miss this promotion because the Clear Channel rep's give away all sorts of great prizes and winter gear. Race for Cancer Cure Saturday, January 8 ~ Belleayre Mountain and the Country Cutting Gallery Relay for Life Team are joining forces to bring a fun event benefiting the American Cancer Society. All the proceeds go to the Country Cutting Gallery Relay for Life Team. All levels and abilities are welcome, skiers and snowboarders alike. Pre-registration is required and limited to the first 200 applicants. The cost is $25 per person. For more information or to register contact MTC at 845-586-3311. Alzheimer's Race to Remember Sunday, January 9 ~ This is a NASTAR Giant Slalom race sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association of the Hudson Valley and Clear Channel Radio. Cost is $25 per person, which includes the race fee and lift ticket. Advance reservation is required by calling the Alzheimer's Association at 1-800-872-0994. If you do not pre-register, the cost to race is still $20 at the registration table and does not include a lift ticket. Registration will be held in the Overlook Lodge between 8 - 10 am; race starts at 10:30 and medals will be awarded to the first, second and third place finishers in ten categories (best of two runs). And as added support for the organization enjoy a nice hot breakfast in the Garden Room for only an extra $15. Pine Hill Arms Race Series Wednesday, January 12 ~ Join us for a fun adults only 10-week long race series sponsored by the Pine Hill Arms Hotel & Restaurant (845-254-9811). This friendly competition is run on the Yahoo NASTAR/Giant Slalom course. Registration is pre-paid of $55 entry fee and includes the race series and awards dinner at the Pine Hill Arms at the end of the season. Lift ticket not included, but required. Categories are male and female, and the minimum age limit is 21 years. Trophies go to the top 3 finishers, male and female, skiers and snowboarders. Belleayre Continues to Provide Economic Stimulus to Catskill Region Belleayre Mountain is once again partnering with the Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce to provide economic stimulus to the region. The Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce, created to advance the economies and communities in the central Catskills area, has partnered with Belleayre to provide an economic jumpstart for area businesses beginning January 1st, 2011. Starting January 1st, 2011 through January 31st, any customer who purchases $50 or more in goods or services from a merchant, service or other business who belongs to the Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce will receive a Buy One Get One Lift Ticket voucher. How: the customer spends $50 or greater at a Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce member and receives a voucher from the Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce business. The customer brings the voucher to the Belleayre Guest Services desk. The voucher and receipt will be verified by the Guest Services employee and the customer will receive a Buy One Get One coupon to Belleayre. Please note, both tickets on the Buy One Get One coupon must be used the same day. Not valid Wednesdays, Fridays, or Holiday periods or can be combined with any other discount or on-mountain offer.
