New York Chinese Cultural Center Dancers: A Ribbon Dancer (Photo courtesy of The Metropolitan Museum of Art/BFANYC.com)New York, N.Y. - The Metropolitan Museum of Art's day-long Lunar New Year festival, a celebration of Chinese arts and culture for visitors of all ages, will take place on Saturday, February 4 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. The celebration will feature a Sesame Street Puppet Show with Alan Muraoka, a dramatic lion dance procession up the Museum's front steps, a youth orchestra performance on traditional Chinese instruments, fan and ribbon dances, and other activities.
