Tony Night at Proctors is the biggest, best viewing party in town! Schenectady, N.Y. -The 67th Annual Tony Awards® will be broadcast locally at 8 p.m. Sunday, June 9 on WRGB CBS6. Proctors is inviting Broadway fans to the GE Theatre to experience Tony Night in a big way, on the big screen. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with red carpet pre-show coverage, and continue with an open door policy throughout the evening. Tony Night at Proctors is sponsored by CBS 6 and the Tony Award-winning Roundabout Theatre Company revival tour of Anything Goes, which plays the Mainstage at Proctors, July 9-14. June 9 also happens to be the 122nd birthday of Anything Goes composer, Cole Porter; whose chestnuts "I Get a Kick Out of You," "It's Delovely" and "You're the Top" decorate the classic shipboard comedy. To celebrate both events, Proctors will have complimentary swag bags, ticket giveaways, video shout-outs from Anything Goes, a cash bar with Broadway-themed specialty drinks, and an ongoing Tony Awards/Cole Porter trivia contest with fun, collectible Broadway-related prizes. Proctors CEO Philip Morris, a Tony Award voter, will be on hand to chat with patrons about their favorite shows, as will Capital Repertory Theatre Producing Artistic Director Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill. Between them they have seen every show of the current Broadway season. Tony Night is a casual event with couches, cabaret seating and bean bag chairs for young Broadway fans. Admission is free. Apostrophe café & lounge will offer light fare through 9:30 p.m. Arguing about which show wins Best Musical is encouraged. The media, of course, is invited to attend and engage.
