Ticonderoga, NY – June 7, 2017 – The Best 4th In The North Committee, a subcommittee of the Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership is pleased to announce the schedule for the 2017 Best 4th In The North Celebration in Ticonderoga, NY with the theme “Set Sail– A Nautical Theme,” The 2017 Best 4th In The North Celebration will take place June 30 – July 4, 2017 with a grand fireworks display, parade, the Montcalm Mile, street dance, as well as a variety of live music, food, vendors, rides, games, and much more throughout the four day celebration. The Best 4th In The North Celebration attracts many visitors to the Ticonderoga area every year, which supports many local businesses and the local economy as a whole.
Friday, June 30th:
8:00 PM - 11:00 PM: Parking Lot Party - Music & Street Dance
STAR TREK Original Series Set Tour Parking Lot - Music by Doc Entertainment.

The Theme for the 2017 Parade will be “Set Sail – A Nautical Theme.” The parade will begin at 2:00 PM on July 4th with line up starting near Brannock Properties/Town of Ticonderoga Highway Garage. The bandstand for the parade will be located in front of Star Trek Original Series Set Tour. Prizes and certificates will be awarded for floats in the following categories: Most Patriotic and Most Creative (Theme Related).
The Best 4th In The North Committee is excited and pleased to announce the Grand Marshals for the 2017 Best 4th In The North Parade are Steve & Sylvia Boyce of Ticonderoga, NY. Steve and Sylvia have been active community members for many years and are involved in an array of organizations, committees, and events including the Ticonderoga Heritage Museum, Kiwanis Club of Ticonderoga, Masons, Ticonderoga Alumni Association, College for Every Student, and the Ticonderoga 250 Committee. In addition they volunteer and support other organizations and committees.
Steve and Sylvia are both retired teachers and Steve works seasonally as a Captain with Lake George Steamboat Company.
“On behalf of the Best 4th In The North Committee and the entire Ticonderoga Community I would like to thank Steve & Sylvia Boyce for their unwavering dedication and commitment to our community. You are both leading examples of volunteers who continue to work for the betterment of Ticonderoga. Parade applications can be returned to the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce at 94 Montcalm Street, Suite 1, Ticonderoga NY 12883. Parade applications must be returned by June 30, 2017. All businesses, organizations, committees, and community members are encouraged to participate in the parade (must be family friendly). There is no charge for participation in the parade.
