The Ticonderoga Area Car Show is a "SuperWheels Showdown" Qualifier Show. Each year the Chambers sends one, Best of Show winner to the "SuperWheels Showdown" in Boston, MA each October. These participants have a chance to place at this show, as well as move into an even larger and exclusive show at the Mohegan Sun. The 2012 Ticonderoga Area Car Show "SuperWheels Showdown" winner was Chuck Moore of Queensbury, NY with a ‘56 Sunliner. "We arrived at the "SuperWheels Showdown" car show in Boston's City Hall Plaza on a sunny October day with temperatures in the mid-seventies and no rain. The show consisted of 100 cars that were all Best of Show winners in the northeast and sponsored by Cruisin' New England Magazine. The '56 Sunliner was a winner and we were invited to go to the Mohegan Sun in July to participate in the Elite 50 Dream Machines car show also sponsored by Crusin' New England Magazine. The cars will be displayed inside the casino's grand ball room. While being interviewed by Cruisin' magazine editor Paul Manette, he asked where we qualified and when I said Ticonderoga, he said that is a great show and I need to get up there more so don't be surprised if I stop at the Ti show in the near future," shared Chuck Moore. "I would like to thank Matt Courtright and the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce for the opportunity to attend the Boston Show and we look forward to another exciting weekend this summer." Chuck Moore's ‘56 Sunliner was also featured on the cover of Crusin' New England Magazine this past winter. "We were thrilled to give Chuck Moore the opportunity to attend the Boston Show. He represented the Ticonderoga Area Car Show well. The Chamber was very excited to hear that he was a winner and chosen to move on to the show at the Mohegan Sun. Shortly after, a copy of Cruisin' New England Magazine came and Chuck's car was on the cover. We could not be happier with the representative chosen at the 20th Annual Ticonderoga Area Car Show. We look forward to seeing Chuck in August and wish him the best of luck in July," stated Matthew Courtright - TACC Executive Director. There are also a variety of events happening throughout the Ticonderoga Area.
