Go Underground for a Howe-ling Good Time!

HOWES CAVE, N.Y. --  Let’s go 156-feet below the earth into a world of ghouls, goblins and non-stop fun during the 26th Annual Halloween at Howe Caverns -- one night only -- from 5:30 to 8;30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24. Take the self-guided tour along the winding cave passages where you’ll find 20 unique scenes -- from the Wicked Wedding on the cave’s Bridal Altar to a performance by the Blue Women Group. Plus, there are ghosts, witches, classic movie monsters and pirates to add to the thrills and chills.The Batman Band will be playing. Look for the troll in the stream, surprises in the Winding Way and some very scary line dancers.Before or after the underground adventure, taste the spook-tacular treats of the benefit bake sale and enjoy music, clowns and more.Halloween at Howe Caverns is a fabulous tradition, an evening of great family fun,” said Howe Cavern’s General Manager Robert Holt. “More importantly, the entire evening is a charity benefit, with this year’s proceeds going to Schoharie County ARC. In 2007,” he said, “Halloween raised close to $12,000 for ARC.” Come in costume to get in the spirit of the evening.Ticket sales are from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 24 ONLY. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under. (Because this is a benefit, no coupons or discounts apply.)
