Schweinfurth Empty Walls PartyAuburn, NY (Dec. 21, 2019) - Don't let the after-holiday blues get you down. Come to the Schweinfurth Art Center 8 to 11 p.m. Jan. 10 for our Empty Walls Art Party! The one-night pop-up art event will include an interactive art activity on the walls of the main gallery, which will be empty following the end of the Quilts=Art=Quilts exhibition.

The band A Cast of Thousands will provide music, and the Thirsty Pug will contribute their craft beers. There will be pop-up art installations by Arthur Hutchinson, Davana Robedee, and Holly Wilson. Local photographer Chris Molloy will also be onsite to take creative photographs. A $10 cover fee at the door will include beer and light refreshments.

The Monday after the event, the Schweinfurth will be closing to install a new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system that will enable the Art Center to use the second floor Davis Gallery and Make Room classroom year round.

The Art Center will still offer art classes for youth and adults during the shutdown, although some will be in other locations. See our website at www.myartcenter.org for information on classes and workshops.

The Art Center expects to reopen in mid-April with our Both Ends of the Rainbow exhibit.
